About Me

Hello, I'm Hung Nguyen,

A self-taught painter and a 2007 graduate in Computer Science, my story begins in Vietnam and unfolds across the seas to Ireland, where I've resided since 2017. Drawing has been a cherished part of my life since childhood, a practice I pursued diligently throughout my high school years. However, this creative outlet was paused for two decades as I embarked on my journey in computer science.

In October 2021, I rekindled my passion for drawing, delving deep into the techniques of old oil masters, drawing inspiration from the likes of Caravaggio, Leonardo da Vinci, William Bouguereau, Barren Cornelis Kokek Kokek...

My canvas is a tapestry of diverse subjects—landscapes, portraits, wildlife, and still life, predominantly rendered in oil, with occasional forays into acrylic or watercolor.

Each creation is a reflection of my emotions and soul. For me, painting is more than an achievement or a hobby; it's a living process that allows me to embody my emotions, bringing a sense of tranquility to my mind.

This artistic pursuit is where I find my meditation, a spiritual path that quiets the noise of the world and brings clarity to my thoughts. It's a practice that not only captures the essence of my experiences but also serves as a conduit for inner peace and reflection.
